Breaking the cycle of economic inequality
Too many families in Bangladesh live from day to day without a stable income. We run projects that create steady livelihoods—connecting people to green jobs, helping small enterprises grow, and opening pathways that last beyond short-term aid.

Reducing climate risks
Bangladesh is hit hardest by floods, storms, and rising seas. We work on the ground with communities to strengthen local resilience, adapt farming and housing practices, and protect resources so people don’t lose everything with each disaster.

Skills, finance, and support often don’t reach those who need them most. Through our own projects, and by supporting social ventures where it makes sense, we ensure communities gain the tools and chances to build a better future.

2025–2035: Turning Crisis into Opportunity in Bangladesh
CommonAct’s strategy is to create lasting change by addressing the main problems that keep communities vulnerable to economic inequality and environmental sustainability in Bangladesh. We design and run projects that help people earn steady incomes, support youth-led social ventures, and strengthen local systems so communities can continue improving over time. Each project shows a clear solution.
We work in what we call the frontline reality, the space where communities face daily challenges and need practical solutions. Change here is not simple or immediate. We test ideas, learn what works, adjust, and expand the approaches that prove effective. Local projects, from income-generating activities to community-led ventures, provide examples that can influence other communities, local institutions, and policies.
Our work relies on cooperation and learning. We work closely with youth, local leaders, social ventures, and organizations to build solutions that work on the ground. By connecting successful local projects to larger systems, CommonAct shows that real, practical change is possible.
